Ukraine’s Minerals and Resources

Ukraine holds deposits of 22 out of the 34 minerals identified as critical by the European Union. These include industrial and construction materials, ferroalloys, precious and non-ferrous metals, and some rare earth elements. The country has significant reserves of titanium (7% of global reserves, the largest in Europe), lithium (estimated at 500,000 tons, among Europe’s largest), uranium (Europe’s biggest reserves), graphite (20% of global reserves), and other minerals like beryllium, manganese, and nickel. Ukraine’s total mineral resources are estimated at around 20,000 deposits, with 8,700 proven, spanning 117 mineral types. The potential value of these resources is estimated in the trillions of dollars, and via comprehensive approach to mining sites investment projects investors could harness this prosper potential while heliping the country with recovering it's infrastructure and economy.
Graphite Ukraine’s share of global reserves: 6% The largest metal by volume in lithium ion batteries, graphite is also used in applications from nuclear reactors to pencils. Ukraine holds 6% of global reserves, making it home to some of the largest deposit
Lithium Share of global reserves: 1-2% The State Geological Service said Ukraine has one of Europe's largest confirmed reserves, estimated at 500,000 metric tons, of lithium — vital for batteries, ceramics, and glass.
Uranium Share of global reserves: 2-4% Uranium is the primary reactive material used in nuclear power generators.
Titanium Share of global reserves: 1% According to the Ukrainian Geological Survey, Ukraine has the largest titanium reserves in Europe and could be capable of meeting US and EU metallic titanium demand for 25 years.
Rare earths
According to the Institute of Geology, Ukraine possesses rare earth elements such as lanthanum and cerium, used in TVs and lighting; neodymium, used in wind turbines and EV batteries; and erbium and yttrium, whose applications range from nuclear power to lasers.
